Laws found elsewhere are unenforceable.
Where a conflict exists between multiple different sources, this document will supersede.

The statute of limitations for crimes and investigations is seven days if no new evidence is collected. If new evidence is collected, this will renew for an additional seven days.
LSPD may request extensions on the Statute of Limitations
One month of prison time is equal to 1 real-world minute.
The maximum prison sentence is 180 months.
The maximum prison fine is $100,000.
The maximum sentence and fine may be exceeded if an individual is charged with Black Magic, Terrorism, or is subject to a BITCH / DORKS Warrant. Only approved members of the LSPD / DOJ.
Police may request warrants to search, seize or raid individuals property, including vehicles and business’, from Judges. The agency requesting the warrant must present evidence and reasoning for the search warrant for a Judge to consider a search warrant.
Warrants are active indefinitely.
Boredom Influenced and Targeted Chaos (B.I.T.C.H.) Act
This Act is in place to deter individuals or small groups from constantly and deliberately attacking Emergency Personnel. Individuals found to be repeatedly attacking any Emergency Service (Robbing, Kidnapping, Murder, etc) without clear financial motive, would be considered for a B.I.T.C.H. Warrant.
These Warrants raise sentencing limits to 1,000 months imprisonment and $200,000 USD and authorize raids on the individual's property.
In contrast to standard Warrants, B.I.T.C.H. Warrants require a Judges signature for Approval. Read more here.
Dismantling of Organized Racketeering and Kingpin Shakedown Act (D.O.R.K.S) Act
This Act is in place to combat structured and ongoing criminal organizations operating within San Andreas. Any group identified as a coordinated criminal enterprise engaging in repeated violent crimes against Emergency Services or other Government Agencies (Robbery, Kidnapping, Murder, etc), are to be labeled as a Domestic Terrorist organization.
Once a group is classified as a Domestic Terrorist organization, all individuals proven to be associated with the organization become subject to enhanced criminal liability, regardless of direct involvement in each specific offense. Members may be charged at varying severities based on rank, role, and degree of participation, ranging from associates and facilitators to leadership and enforcers.
D.O.R.K.S Warrants raise sentencing limits to 1,000 months imprisonment and $200,000 USD in fines per individual, and authorize raids on properties, businesses, and assets linked to the organization.
In contrast to standard warrants, D.O.R.K.S Warrants require judicial approval and formal designation by a Judge prior to enforcement.
Police may raid drug zones, drug production facilities, player homes, and player businesses used for the production, sale, or storage of drugs.
The Police must not retain any information/ location of drug process facilities. Police do not forget locations owned by an individual (e.g. gang business’, player homes etc)
Police may access social media and may use footage from their body cameras as evidence against criminals. The evidence must be within reason, and footage taken with camera and phones is preferable.
Only Police have the ability to use bodycams. Citizens must use mobile phones to record interactions. There are no “dash cams” within the city.
CCTV is admissible as evidence but requires permission of the owner of the CCTV to be used as evidence. CCTV has no audio capabilities.
There are no locations which can prevent you from interactions from Police/ Citizens. It is recommended if you need to go AFK, to go somewhere only you can access (e.g. Player home)
Business owners who are caught committing major felonies through their businesses through investigative work, raids, and serious criminal activity while on duty or facilitating illegal activity within their business will lose their business license after three infractions.
Weapon licenses can be received from LSPD at MRPD (postal 217) or by talking to a police officer. Once an officer has approved your firearm applications, you may get a Physical ID card at City Hall.
Individuals must obtain this before they’re able to legally own a firearm.
Open carry of firearms is illegal. This includes cosmetic items that display a pistol or a firearm on your body, even if not held in your inventory. LSPD will treat this firearm as unloaded.
Police have the right to search individuals who are seen with weapons on their back, in a holster, or in their possession.
The Police and the Courts can revoke an individual's weapons license if the individual used a firearm in the commission of a crime. The license can be repurchased after seven real world days.

The possession of drug paraphernalia (bongs, wrapping papers, lighters) is legal.
Police have the right to search and detain those observed conducting illegal activity related to the distribution of drugs.
Production of drugs, including marijuana, is considered illegal unless through a licensed operation. Any plants, seeds, or materials used in the growing or processing of drugs are illegal and subject to seizure, jail time, and/or fines.
If an individual is arrested for Distribution of drugs, any funds in the individual's possession can be seized during the investigation.
Schedule 1 Drugs: Meth Bricks, Pure Trays, Cocaine Leaves, Marijuana (over six grams), and LSD.
Schedule 2 Drugs: Meth bags, Pure Meth Bags, Cocaine, Oxycontin, and Weed Bricks.
Police are unable to determine if cash is “Clean” or “Dirty” until back at the Police station. Police shall return any “Clean” cash back to the individual before sentencing.
You must possess a physical, valid driver's license at all times while operating a motor vehicle. To obtain a drivers license, you must complete a drivers test first which can be found behind city hall.
All vehicles must stop at a Red Light or Stop Sign, but may continue forward if safe to do so. (Stop and Go)
All motorcycle, moped, and bicycle riders must wear a certified helmet while riding on public roads.
Right-hand drive cars are not road legal even with valid license plates.
Dirt bikes and other offroad vehicles are not road legal even with valid license plates.
All vehicles must have a rear license plate at all times, front license plates are not required.
The use of “license plate switchers” is against city and server rules, and license plates should not be taken off while being pursued by police or during a chase.
Tuner chips are illegal. The use of tuner chips and vehicles that have been tuned on public roadways is illegal.
The gathering of vehicles for car meets and car shows is legal on private property. Cars that meet with 10+ people and meet on public property must notify the police before the event is held.
Drifting on public roadways and unsanctioned drift and race events are illegal. The use of public roadways for racing and other motor events must be approved through LSPD (ranks Sergeant and above).
Engines in the level 4 & 5 performance categories and aftermarket turbos are not legal to drive on public roads.
State speed limits are as follows:
35 MPH in residential areas
50 MPH in non-residential areas
80 MPH whilst on the Freeway
Hosting large gatherings and the use of car radios to play loud music in public is considered disturbing the peace if used in an unsanctioned manner.
Public events with loud music and video displays may be held with the permission of LSPD (Sergeant and up) by giving LSPD the exact time frame, and nature of the event.
Protests are legal in public areas such as streets, sidewalks, parks and in front of government buildings. You have the right to speak out on other public property like plazas in front of government buildings as long as you are not blocking access to the government building or interfering with the flow of traffic and its function.
Permits for events that may block roadways or that make use of public roadways may be acquired from the LSPD (sergeant and up) by providing the LSPD the exact time frame and nature of the event.
Making repeated 911 calls or false 911 calls is illegal, and can result in a sentence and fine and misdemeanor charge.
Impersonation of an officer is considered a felony.
Possession and or Distribution of Government-issued property, such as equipment, firearms, evidence collection tools, uniforms or vehicles are considered serious felonies.
It is illegal to own, no matter how you came into possession of, Government/ Emergency vehicles and will be treated as Possession of Government Property.
Law Enforcement may impound any Emergency Vehicle, owned illegally for $500,000 and for 1 year. Police can request the vehicle be seized by a Judge.
Players impersonating an officer will be held to an extremely high standard of server rules, and those found abusing it to troll, interfere with scenes and RP may face additional consequences)
